Southeast Schnitzel was started as a pet project of Höferle Consulting, a bilingual & bicultural service company in Cleveland, TN. Founded by German-American entrepreneur Christian Höferle (Hoeferle), the company assists clients with a variety of professional services targeted at improving transatlantic business success. The company consults, trains and coaches German & American management, assists clients in setting up operations in the Southeastern United States, provides translation, interpretation & localization services, and delivers tailored intercultural training programs.

Southeast Schnitzel is all about overcoming our differences and making sure people understand each other. The blog highlights certain dissimilarities and commonalities of the American way of life and the German culture. Even though the investments by Volkswagen, Wacker Chemie and others have been great news for the Southeast Tennessee region, our communities now have to come to terms with a different mentality in connection with our new German friends and fellow citizens. They bring with them certain different ways of doing business, different ways of leading personal lives and different perspectives on life. Many of them initially struggle to adjust to the Southeast Tennessee way and to the American lifestyle and work ethic.
